Mike Kaz Jr & Sr take 6 Golds, each sweeping all 3 races. McGrath gets 3 wins & Monahan takes 2 titles.
Overall, WalkUSA totaled 20 medals in 3 days of competition to demonstrate total race walking superiority at the 2007 Empire State Games.
The final WalkUSA medal count:
Gold: 12; Silver: 4; Bronze: 4.

Kaz leads the charge at US Team Champs |

Mike Kazmierczak lead the troops at the US Team Championships, finishing 1st in the 5000m event in a time of 23:50.68. This is Kaz's 1st US Open Championship title. Also scoring for the men were Mike Bartholomew and Bill Vayo, who were 5th and 7th. Jenna Monahan took 2nd in the women's 5000m race. WalkUSA finished 12th (of 38 teams) in the team scoring for men & 16th (of 24 teams) in the women's scoring.

Set for Sunday August 12, the 2nd installment of the biannual NACAC Cup / US v Canada Meet will be held on the 1 km loop in Hauppauge.
